Filthy Rich Terry Semel - Random Rant
Was just channel surfing a few nights ago (ok, fine I’ll admit I watch reality TV 
) and came across Filthy Rich Cattle Drive. Had no idea Terry Semel’s daughter is on the show until now. Did a quick Technorati search and didnt find a peep about it in the tech blogosphere what so ever. Seems like its a definite hand-off topic for whatever reason (or more likely no one cares except for boring old me)
Courtenay Semel seems to be the spoil brat/drama queen of the show. Not sure what that say about Terry Semel (or Mr. Semel as he originally wanted people to call him when he first arrived at Yahoo!) as CEO, but I got an eerie feeling that its somehow related culture clash Om had talked about a few weeks back. (Ya, my free association skills are highly sensitive.) The media and/or LA types are driven much more by style (back with substance, I hope) compared to the Valley. Of course, giving credit where its due, the egomaniacs we got here are just as brash and inconsiderate, but I dont think they necessarily need to wear $700 shoes to prove it. Not sure what’s better or worse . . . just different.
court semel is indeed that bad in real life. i went to high school with her. she attended loomis chaffee in windsor connecticut, a prep school. her father spoke at her graduation, he was a name-dropper and was hardly impressive. the guy is just as bad as his daughter in real life. my two cents

For some odd reason, Cattle Drive is the only reality show I watch. I was up until 7am watching it on On Demand this morning. The only somewhat normal ones are Noah, Brittny and Shanna. I liked Fabian years ago, but now I think he is the biggest form of human waste. I literally want to beat the crap out of him.(Though he looks sooooo much better all skanked out and unshaven!) These people should be ashamed of themselves, and their parents who raised them. How dare they talk to/treat people like that?! Listen, I’m a California prep-school girl myself, but I left that attitude behind at graduation. One word, folks: KARMA!

I hate Fabian Basabe. I want to beat the living crap out of him. I wish there was an episode where he falls in mud and his pants rip. Sorry, his $1,000 freakin jacket. I hope you are out of the closet, Fabian, cuz you are flamin up the screen, you spoiled waste of life. What purpose do you serve? Well, at least you are giving nannies and maids and pool cleaners’ jobs. Good for you, ya whining sack of horse sh*t.

I went to high school with Courtenay too. She was in my class, and I remember when her dad spoke at graduation. I always liked her…I thought she was a cool girl, and really nice. Of course she is going to have to come off a certain way on the show…otherwise, who would watch? You really think the producers are going to tell these people to be sweet?

I love this show because of the Cowboys. Fabien, get over yourself. You’ve skuawk more than everyone else combined. I bet he called his mommy and daddy everytime he thought he was going to be hurt at school. To call the police over water being thrown on you? It was not boiling, the guy stuck his hand in it. You are beyond ridiculous and are a disgrace to your charity. Stand up and take what you deserve, otherwise, sit down and shut your mouth.

Hi i also have been watching the programme and find “Court and Fab” very annoying. I would like to give my heartfelt condolences to any one who had the misfortune of attending High school with these two “wannabes”.
